RCA Plus
18 August 2021: This RCA Plus package includes the North West England Consultation Toolkit
A series of video modules that will take you through all aspects of the RCA exam, updated for September 2021
Dr Mark Coombe has been an examiner for the MRCGP for over 20 years and has helped thousands of candidates through various consulting skills exams. Mark was the deputy lead of the group that set up the RCA in July 2020, and has created this package to help you through the exam.
About the package
This package is specifically designed to get candidates through the RCA. We have developed a series of videos that will take you through all aspects of the exam, how to maximise your score, and how to focus your revision.
All our modules will be updated with any changes as they occur.
You will also have access to the FourteenFish Library which is full of important relevant clinical updates that are likely to come up in the exam.
You may want to use this package in conjunction with your deanery educators as it will enable them to provide additional support.
The cost is £175 (inc VAT) for 12 months access, this can be extended for only £50 (inc VAT) per year before the 12 months access ends.
If you have previously purchased the legacy RCA package for £145, you can upgrade to RCA Plus for £30.
What's included?
- Key advice on how to consult well, how to impress the examiners, and pass.
- Clear explanation of the mandatory criteria, with latest updates.
- Consultation Toolkit with meta-analysis function.
- 80 clinical updates on common topics.
- A series of sample consultations with examiner analysis.
Just got my results. I got the RCA package after failing first time and improved 140 to 185. Genuinely couldn't have done it without your posts.
This is one of the best resources I have seen re RCA preparation as it has specific and detailed learning re how to consult well, example videos, community questions answered by a very senior medical educator, and a menu of educational videos about clinical topics. I think all GPST2-3 trainees should have access to this package.
