General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) Workshop
The EU General Data Protection Regulation comes into force in May 2018 and therefore effective preparation for its introduction will be a high priority for practices over the coming weeks. Practices will want to ensure that best practice is in place and that they are able to demonstrate compliance with the new requirements.
This full-day workshop aims to provide delegates with a comprehensive understanding of GDPR and to set out a planned and structured approach to achieving compliance.
The LMC is working with the Practice Managers Association to deliver this training which is being funded by NHS England and our four local CCGs. The learning aims are:
- To bring clarity to the subject of GDPR and present key information in a format that is specifically relevant to general practice
- To equip practice managers with the tools they need to implement GDPR with confidence
- To provide a clear framework and set of resources that can be used either by individual practices or groups of practices working together to achieve compliance whilst minimising the duplication of work

The LMC is expecting a high demand for these workshops which are running on 3 different dates in various locations during late March and early April. The maximum capacity is 50 delegates for each event and therefore we are initially asking you to book a maximum of 2 delegates per practice. If all slots are not filled, we will open up places to additional delegates from each practice.
