GP Partner – Axbridge and Wedmore Medical Practice

We are looking to recruit a GP partner to join our vibrant multidisciplinary practice team. We care for 8,600 patients across a semi-rural setting within easy reach of Bristol, Taunton and Bath.
Our clinical team currently consists of:
- 2 GP Partners
- 3 Salaried GPs
- 1 Pharmacist
- 2 Paramedics
- 3 Nurses
- 1 Health Coach
- 3 Health Care Assistants
- 1 Phlebotomist
- Access to the PCN clinical team
Our practice ethos is one of continuous quality improvement and engagement with the wider healthcare system. Each morning we have a non-clinical huddle with the whole team plus a daily MDT with the community and mental health services, VSCE, hospices and local authority.
We run our QOF using our MDT and aspire that this becomes a wellbeing review so that the process has meaning and is impactful for the patient and the healthcare system.
We are committed to ensuring a safe, sustainable and enjoyable working day for all and have dedicated support staff to enable this.
We engage actively with the Primary Care Network and one of our partners is the Clinical Director of our PCN. We are keen to ensure that Primary Care is leading the way in the new ICS.
We would like to recruit a GP Partner to work two full days. For on the day patient demand we operate a same day team approach. As duty GP for two of your four sessions, you will lead this team of allied health professionals.
Our team culture is one of our main strengths. We work as a close (but currently socially distant!) team and are very supportive of one another.
Our idyllic, semi-rural, setting is situated on the edge of the Mendip hills which is an area of outstanding natural beauty. Local outdoor activities include sailing, climbing, cycling, hiking and riding which many of our staff enjoy.
For those with a young family there are a number of very good schools in the area.
