Tapping in to your local resources:
A collaborative event bringing together health and voluntary sectors
Thursday 24th May 2018, from 12.00 to 4.30 pm including lunch
at Trent Vineyard Conferencing, Easter Park, Lenton Lane, Nottingham, NG7 2PX
The RCGP invites you to attend a half day workshop to learn about local and national initiatives. You will have the opportunity to participate in interactive sessions to identify gaps in service provision, challenges working between sectors and actionable solutions to overcome these. Attendees include GPs, Practice Managers, CCGs, STPs, LMCs and local voluntary sector service providers.
This workshop will consist of keynote speakers: Dr David Paynton (RCGP Clinical Champion for Patient Centred Care), Dr Deena El-Shirbiny (RCGP Clinical Support Fellow for Patient Centred Care) and local clinical leaders.
Objectives for this event include:
- Bringing together the health and voluntary sectors to build relationships and trust
- Make it easier for GPs and the voluntary sector to work together
- Help GPs who are interested in helping people in a person-centred way start or continue their journey
- Working to support the 3rd sector to build links with health (primary care / GPs)
- Ensuring access for the most vulnerable to the right services – identify gaps in service provision
- Engage GPs in culture change conversations - awareness that the system is under pressure, how can you get support from others?
This event will be hosted by the RCGP Person-Centred Care programme Team
