Registration 12:45. Training 13:00 - 14:30
To participate in this training you will need, device capable or running Zoom, with camera, microphone and speakers. The camera must remain live during the training to ensure the delegates are present and can fully engage in the course.
NB: There will be no interaction with the mannequins.
Introduction
This session is designed to ensure all staff maintain their clinical skills in respect of Basic Life Support (BLS), Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), Automatic External Defibrillation (AED) and the treatment of Anaphylactic reactions that may occur in the healthcare environment.
Trainer
The course will be led by either Gary Hepburn or Keith Welsh who are both members of the Institution of Fire Engineers

Gary set up Sirius Business Services Ltd (Sirius) at the end of 2000. Gary is a member of many professional bodies such as Institution of Occupational Safety and Health, International Institute of Risk and Safety Managers, Institute for Learning, Royal College of Nursing, Association of Healthcare Trainers, the Council for Professionals as Resuscitation Officers and the Institution of Fire Engineers. Gary has held several senior appointments in the NHS in Primary Care, Community Hospitals, Emergency Care and Mental Health.
Gary’s has been an active first aider/medic since he first qualified as a Dive Medic over 30 years ago and has many years hands on experience in event medical services, medical repatriation and as a first responder for the NHS. He has also qualified as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT). He has been a health and safety professional, has developed and led training and provide advice and consultancy services for over 30 years. He has specialised in Primary care for the last 15 years.

Keith has been working with Sirius Business Services since 2006, qualifying as a first aid instructor and assessor the same year. He has many years practical experience in both the emergency medicine and fire fighting fields. Keith is an Emergency Medical Technician and for the last 17 years has been a Community Responder for South West Ambulance Service, being called out to 999 medical emergencies in his local area. Keith also provides event medical cover at various events around the south of England.
Keith trained as a retained fire fighter with Dorset Fire and Rescue Service and is a Graduate member of the Institution of Fire Engineers. Keith is also a corporate member of the Chartered Management Institute and a Nursing Support member of the Royal College of Nursing.
