Minor Surgery - Practical Course (9am - 12pm)
The course meets the DoH requirement (2014 DES minor surgery contract) for formal assessment of competency by the inclusion of Direct Observation of Procedural Skills (DOPS) assessments during practical skills.
This half-day practical course combined with the FourteenFish online Minor Surgery package meets the DoH requirements. The course is designed for GPs at any level of skill to attend.
It will prepare those new to minor surgical procedures as well as being ideal for those already performing procedures who need to update or refresh their knowledge and skills.
The course covers suturing... with the opportunity for those already competent to explore higher-level procedures with a practicing surgeon.
Joint Injection - Practical Course (1pm - 4pm)
The online package and the practical sessions must be successfully completed prior to certification.
The FourteenFish practical Joint Injection Course is a half-day interactive practical course, designed for GP's at all stages of their career.
It will cover the assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and management of musculoskeletal conditions associated with the elbow, shoulder, wrist, hand, and knee.
The cost of this event is £350 per person for the whole day, including both Minor Surgery and Joint Injection sessions. You can also book onto the morning or afternoon sessions individually at a cost of £195 per person.
