Paramedic Practitioner
Devon Doctors Ltd is currently recruiting for an enthusiastic, experienced and highly motivated Paramedic Practitioner for our Operational Directorate. The post holder will be a key member of our Paramedic service based from our treatment centre in Exeter.
About the position:
With direct line management by the Head of Nursing and Allied Health Professionals, you will be responsible to visit patients within their own home should they not be able to travel to a Treatment Centre. You will contribute towards a ‘one team culture’ throughout the Organisation and promoting a patient centred ethos of “Putting Patients First”.
Responsibilities will include, visiting patients at their homes and prescribing treatment if required. The paramedic will also work with an element of telephone CAS based work. They will offer telephone advice to other paramedics who are supporting the service.
As a paramedic practitioner you will operate across Devon and Somerset. Devon Doctors mainly operates as an out-of-hours service. Therefore, you will be expected to work weekends, evenings and Bank Holidays on a rota basis,
Hours per week depending on specific role / location. Cover required over 7 days during out-of-hours periods.

Who are we looking for?
•Registered Paramedic Qualification (HCPC)
•Degree in MSc modules in Advanced Clinical Skills/Diagnostics
•Minimum 3 years post registration experience
•Full UK Driving licence
•Involvement and leadership in teaching and mentoring learners
•Effective communicator able to communicate complex and highly sensitive information (oral and written)
•Ability to work within a team, be part of and to create a positive culture and atmosphere for patients and staff
•Ability to work autonomously
