Advanced Nurse Practitioner/Primary Care Practitioner (Paramedic) WESTWAY SURGERY,

Westway Surgery is seeking to recruit an Advanced Nurse Practitioner or a Primary Care Practitioner (Paramedic) to join our friendly and supportive team. We are a medium size practice of around 8,000 patients with an urban population, conveniently located near the M4 and close to Cardiff City Centre.
We offer a wide range of clinical services including minor surgery, contraception, nursing home DES, Warfarin, NOAC and insulin initiation.
The balanced clinical team consists of six GP partners, two Advanced Nurse Practitioners (one being this vacancy), two practice nurses, a health care assistant and an excellent administrative team. Our exceptional cluster pharmacist conducts complex medication reviews and facilitates medication audits. We care for the residents of two local nursing homes and a long-term facility for those with learning difficulties.
are a pro-active member of Cardiff South-West cluster, working with local partners to explore how best to work in a collaborative way to maximise our patients’ wellbeing.
the next three years we will move into new premises (in conjunction with the University Health Board and Local Council) where we will work with local third sector organisations, the local council and others to focus on our local population’s wellbeing. In addition, our cluster is part of an ambitious transformational project to apply the Compassionate Community framework so successful in Frome to our local services.
