Due to retirement and succession planning we are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Partner GP to join the Croft Hall Medical Practice in Torquay for flexible/ negotiable sessions. NHS England and the BMA have agreed the new GP contract, which will include a £20,000 golden handshake for GPs to take up partnership roles from April 2020. For the right candidate we are prepared to be flexible when negotiating business commitments and agreements (profit sharing and property), including 12 months term for mutual assessment.
Torquay in Devon is a forward-thinking area and our practice has a close involvement in all local initiatives. We are a busy single site urban practice, beside the sea, serving 8000 patients which is part of our PCN led by one of our partners. Our clinical team consists of 3 GP Partners (Trainers), 1 Salaried GP, 2 GP retainers, 2 Advanced Nurse Practitioners, 3 Practice Nurses, 1 HCA , 1 Phlebotomist and 1 Social Prescriber.
We work from a beautiful building with plenty of space to support our developing local community network, offering views of our community garden project and the sea. We have a pharmacy on site and we host Mental Health Matters in the evenings 7 days a week.
We place a strong emphasis on education, training and support, with GP registrars, Foundation Doctors, Paramedic, Nurses , PA and Medical students, as well as apprentices and students. We encourage part time working pattern and all partners have over the years developed special interests in leadership, GP appraisal, postgraduate education, mentoring, GMC exams and Diabetes. We would encourage a new partner to develop their interests in same fashion.
Quality of life is important to us- we structure our workload and support each other- finishing by 6pm is the norm, without the need to come in on days off, or log in from home. Our consultation slots are 15 minutes and we run a Duty day system mainly led by our allied health professionals with GP support.
