Locum/Salaried GP – The Old Station Surgery

Old Station surgery is a democratic, caring and inclusive practice with teamwork, support and compassion at its core. We take pride in delivering quality care to our patients and have a strong training and personal development ethos.

Serving a patient population of c15,000 in a modern purpose-built premises in the heart of Ilkeston, Derbyshire, the surgery has an on-site pharmacy unit and 2 branch surgeries in the neighbouring areas of Cotmanhay and Kirk Hallam.

We are a team of 7 partners and 6 salaried GP's supported by excellent team of ANP’s and Practice Nurses, Senior Clinical Pharmacist, Pharmacy Technician and well established administrative team.

We are high QOF achieving Practice, rated Good by CQC. We look after several Care Homes and work together with local hospitals to provide ward cover. We provide wide variety of services from nurse led triage clinics (telephone and online) to minor ops and INR clinics.

We use SystmOne and are a Training Practice attached to Nottingham University teaching both graduate students and GP specialist registrars.

We are part of Erewash PCN; with clinical pharmacists, pharmacy technicians and social prescribers in place and look forward to developing local services further to meet the needs of our patient population

We continually look for new and innovative ways of working and this is exiting time to be joining us as we enter into early stages of our succession planning.

We are looking for:

  • 4-6 sessions; ideally starting from April 2021 but are happy to wait for the right candidate.
  • Both experienced and/or newly qualified Doctors who can bring new ideas and innovative approaches to the way we deliver our services. Additional interests are welcome.
  • A GP who is a team player with enthusiasm and a can do attitude.
