Cressex Health Centre is a dynamic GP surgery with a passion for delivering outstanding patient care led and delivered by management and clinical teams with enormous healthcare experience.
We wish to recruit a Locum Practice Nurse who will become part of our multi-disciplinary team. We are happy to offer flexible working hours and open to either part-time or full time hours. Our expectation is two or three days a week.
This post is for two months initially, then for one month rolling contract.
The candidate should manage care programmes for patients with acute and chronic diseases including groups such as; Diabetes, Women’s Health, CHD, Asthma, COPD and Hypertension.
The candidate should also be able do child and adult immunisations, smears and dressing and provide general nursing care on the assessment and management of minor ailments/illness and general health problems. This includes support of HCA/phlebotomist role with blood tests, ECGs, blood pressure checks, new patient checks, 24 hour blood pressure monitoring, flu jab and travel immunisations.
To implement, support and manage specific public health/health care projects, eg Hib vaccination, Smoking Cessation. And also manage health promotion clinics.
Cressex Health Centre offers APMS services across two sites, one in the centre of High Wycombe, the other on the edge of the town near the M40 junction. The local practice population is diverse and there are currently 9,000 patients registered.
