Practice Business Manager
Salary £45,000 - £50,000 dependent upon experience
Applications are invited, due to the retirement of the current practice manager, for the role of Practice Business Manager for Claremont and Holyport Practice. We are a friendly, flourishing and supportive two site General Practice based in Maidenhead and Holyport. We are seeking an applicant who is able to demonstrate commitment and enthusiasm and who can work closely with the Partners and staff to deliver excellent patient care within the context of a thriving business with a healthy working culture.
The successful candidate will have strong leadership skills and support the partners with strategic planning. Previous experience of managing financial accounts, including forecasting budgets and cash flow is essential, as is experience of managing a multidisciplinary team.
Practice description
Claremont and Holyport Practice is a 6 partner Practice providing a caring, patient-focused and efficient service to its 19,500 patients. We work across 2 sites: Claremont Surgery in the Thames-side town of Maidenhead and Holyport Surgery in the small leafy village of Holyport.
We are a long-established, well respected practice and see ourselves as an integrated part of the community, working with care homes and other local providers, and the practice’s Patient Participation Group. Our Partners are forward-thinking and have lead roles in the local Clinical Commissioning Group, Primary Care Network and Local Medical Committee. We are an experienced Training Practice and provide training and development for medical students, doctors at all stages and other Allied Health Professionals.
We are a large practice working with a clinical team of 5 salaried GPs, a nursing team, allied health professionals (paramedic, clinical pharmacists, a musculoskeletal practitioner, physician’s associates) and our skilled administrative team.
We value high clinical standards and aim for an excellent patient experience; we have high QuOF scores and CQC “Good” in all areas.
We are a friendly and inclusive team and in non-Covid times we enjoy a range of social activities through the year.
Maidenhead and Holyport are situated near to the historic towns of Windsor and Eton, with beautiful surrounding countryside and offer excellent transport links on M4 / M40 / M25 motorways and Maidenhead is on the new Crossrail line from London to Reading.
Terms and Conditions:
Hours of work
Full time. This is a senior salaried role. Normal working hours are 37.5 hours per week, although you are expected to work flexibly to those hours required to fulfil the duties of the role.

25 days plus 8 public holidays – 33 days in total (pro-rata)
