We have an exciting opportunity for a skilled and enthusiastic leader to join our team at Castle Street Medical Centre, Bolsover.
Castle Street is run by Derbyshire Community Health Services NHS Foundation Trust, and forms a part of the Trust’s General Practice Service.
We are a relatively small practice but are steadily growing. Our team focuses on the delivery of primary care services to our patient population of 3,600 people in Bolsover and the surrounding area. The team comprises of 4x GPs, 1x Practice Nurse, 2x HCAs, 1x Care Co-ordinator, plus administrative and attached staff. We are also a well-regarded GP training practice and regularly host registrars.
We operate out of a warm and welcoming surgery that was recently fully refurbished, with 6x consulting rooms and 1x treatment room.
As a Practice Manager you will be expected to lead the practice in collaboration with the Lead GP. You will be responsible for ensuring that the practice is operating smoothly, safely and effectively, that patients and staff are well-supported, and that the business side of the practice is well-managed.
First and foremost we are looking for a leader, for someone who appreciates the importance of leadership and fostering a positive culture. You will need to be adept in managing people and services, whilst able to maintain high standards and also having a level of business acumen. A keen eye for detail will be important, as will the ability to concurrently manage multiple issues. Healthcare or general practice experience may be beneficial; however we will consider exceptional candidates from wider settings.
You will be expected to join and be an active member of the General Practice Service’s Management Team, which comprises peers of other practices which are ran by the Trust, including fellow Practice Managers and Clinical Leads, as well as the Service’s General Manager and Clinical Director. You will also be expected to be an ambassador for the practice and service, participating in wider networks and groups, such as the practice’s Primary Care Network (PCN) and Practice Participation Group (PPG).
