About Us
We are a PMS practice with a list size of 7,800 patients based in Catterick Garrison, North Yorkshire. Catterick is the British Army's largest Garrison in the world and is set to double in size by 2030 with the expectation that our registered list will also grow proportionately over the next 8 years. A new integrated care campus is planned to meet the requirements of this projected population growth and is likely to form the blueprint for similar facilities in communities with a combined defence and civilian population. We have a history of innovative service development to meet the needs of our population (see http://harewoodmedicalpractice.com/ ) which consists mostly of the families of serving soldiers and second generation army families who have settled in the area. We also have a significant proportion of Nepali patients due to the strong connection that the Garrison has with the Gurkha regiments. The practice is run by a partnership consisting of 5 GP partners and 1 managing partner with two of our GP partners being based at Harewood and three based at our practice in Leyburn.
The Opportunity
Due to our development of a new clinical operating model we are now looking for the equivalent of 1.5 whole time salaried GPs. Our preference would be to appoint two 6 session GPs but we are open to considering other sessional combinations. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic GP keen to be involved in the evolution of an integrated care model as we transition into the new integrated care campus. You will be joining a clinical team of 2 GP partners, 3 salaried GPs, 2 nurse practitioners, 3 practice nurses and 2 HCAs.
