We are now welcoming applications to join our team as a salaried GP for up to 7 sessions per week, with flexibility on days of work to suit.
Meddygfa Lansdowne Surgery cares for the health and wellbeing of 7100 residents of South West Cardiff, with a diverse population across Pontcanna, Canton, and Leckwith.
Our practice takes a lead role in our cluster, Cardiff South West, and in the cluster’s Welsh Government funded transformation
project, the ‘accelerated cluster model’ which has shown huge benefits for staff and patients alike.
Working together with the other practices of the cluster, and a multidisciplinary team across health, social care and the voluntary sector, we have created a sustainable vision of the way that general practice should be. Our work as GPs is supported by this team, and problems are dealt with efficiently and prudently by all team members, rather than GPs in isolation.
We have a young and dynamic partnership, and a strong and expanding business as we take on new registrants from recently developed nearby housing projects. We are friendly, remain positive despite these uncertain times, and place an emphasis on work-life balance. Daily clinical team meetings keep the team motivated, supported and together.
We are a training practice with 2 GP registrars. We also teach medical students from years 2-6 and will host Physician Associates in training, so there are plenty of opportunities to become involved in medical education.
We benefit from access to MSK physiotherapists, cluster pharmacists, and mental health nurses. Working with other professionals in this way helps us manage our workload.
