Our innovative, friendly, patient-centred practice has two vacancies in the large, varied and supportive nursing team

Nurse Practitioner or Practice Nurse

Whilst we are delighted to receive applicants who are Nurse Practitioners or Practice Nurses, we also recognise that Nursing is a very varied profession and not all Nurses interested in our position will have Practice Nurse experience. Therefore we are happy to support the right candidate to develop into the role. We have done this successfully previously, usually starting with Treatment Room responsibilities and then providing in-house and external training opportunities to develop into areas such as cytology, minor illness management, long term condition management and so on.

With a large team we are usually able to support individuals to develop a role that suits their preferences and skills. For some this is solely Treatment Room Nursing, for others it is a role focussed on management of long term conditions.

We have successfully supported new recruits from all fields of nursing – practice nursing, hospital nursing, district nursing and care homes.

One vacancy is for maternity leave (February 2022 to January 2023) and the other is for a permanent post - the vacancy has arisen as we have nurses preparing for retirement and we like to ensure a smooth transition for the person retiring, the overall team as well as the new joiner. We ideally need at least 3 days a week initially but will also consider up to full time for both posts.

Salary dependent upon role, experience and qualifications
