Arthur Medical Centre seeks to appoint a qualified and experienced Practice Nurse to join our busy forward thinking Practice Team.
Arthur Medical Centre is a values-led, family-oriented medical practice situated in Horsley Woodhouse – a semi-rural locality, on the edge of the Peak District. We have an innovative and friendly team who are committed to supporting each other in delivering excellent patient care. The practice team consists of four GP partners, four practice nurses, two HCAs and an Advanced Clinical Practitioner and is complemented by other clinical support roles via our CCG and PCN. Arthur Medical Centre is also proud to be a training practice, supporting staff development and works with local providers delivering GP training, medical students, student nurses and newly qualified pharmacists.
Horsley Woodhouse is situated north of Derby with easy access from the cities of Derby, Nottingham and Sheffield.
The successful applicant will be required to work 16 hours per week in accordance with existing rotas and will need to have some flexibility for possible cover for seasonal busy periods. Some Saturday working will be required, although this will not be every week.
Experience in long terms conditions, particularly Respiratory and Diabetes conditions is strongly preferred. Alternatively, a successful candidate would be required to be prepared to train and develop in these areas.
Experience in cytology, ear care, phlebotomy, ECGs, wound care, sexual health and contraception, vaccinations and immunisations would also be advantageous.
Excellent clinical support is available from members of the nursing team, clinical pharmacist, ACPs and GPs.
We are a SystmOne-TPP practice.
Salary dependent on experience.
