PRACTICE MANAGER
WOODLANDS MEDICAL CENTRE
Due to the retirement of our current Practice Manager, we have an exciting opportunity to appoint an experienced, strategic and proactive manager with excellent interpersonal, leadership and management skills, to work collaboratively with our Deputy Practice Manager.
We are a well-established urban GMS practice of 8700 patients, with modern partnership owned premises on the western outskirts of Cardiff and easy access to the M4 and Cardiff city centre. We pride ourselves on being a GP training and teaching practice and being a leading member of the Cardiff South West Cluster, working collaboratively with local partners to maximise patient wellbeing and benefit through a number of innovative community projects and services
We are looking to appoint a manager who will take a pivotal role leading on practice strategy, finance, patient/customer services, IT, finance, premises management, governance and service improvement. A high degree of personal organisational skill is required as well as a systematic approach to problem solving and planning. Working alongside the Partners and supported by an excellent administrative and clinical team, the person appointed will be responsible for the day-to-day smooth running of the practice and have the vision, enthusiasm and drive to adapt to NHS targets and changes within a profitable, efficient and fast-paced environment. As an innovative practice we are looking for a practice manager to lead quality improvements to our practice processes to optimise patient experience. The practice is open to considering applicants new to primary care but candidates should be experienced managers and be able to demonstrate outstanding leadership and communication skills, success in business, finance and management with a thorough understanding of technology and innovation.
The post is full time – 37.5 hours per week
