GP opportunities to work sessions in Musgrove Park Hospital Breast Care Centre.
We would like to find Doctor Clinicians to help us with the 2 week wait pressures that we are experiencing in the Musgrove Park Hospital Breast Care Centre.
We would very much like local GPs who would come and work with us for regular clinic sessions, and will be trained to work by and alongside the Breast Surgeons.
We recognise that GPs already have valuable skills in breast diagnosis, and this role would add to those pre-existing skills.
Communication and clinical examination are essential, but we will add to this skill set by teaching breast punch & clinical biopsies and aspiration.
We have a supportive and forward thinking surgical team, with direct Surgical Consultant supervision.
The role is integral to the triple assessment cancer diagnosis pathway.
