Practice Manager – Full time 37.5 hours
Cwm Garw Practice is an established, friendly and supportive GP Practice in the Garw Valley. We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic, motivated Practice Manager with demonstrable leadership skills to lead our team. The Practice has 5 GP Partners and an established clinical and administrative team with a recently appointed Operations Manager. We are also a GP training practice and have 3 surgeries, two of which also have dispensaries. Our list size is currently 7500. Previous management experience, leadership skills, competency in office IT and effective communication skills at all levels are essential. Candidates must be conscientious and experience of working in the NHS is desirable
The successful candidate should:
· Be able to demonstrate knowledge of human resources management, employment law and health and safety
· Be proactive, able to lead, supervise, motivate and performance manage a team
· Have the ability to manage change through motivation and leadership
· Have strong leadership skills and business vision to run the Practice and help us achieve our optimum potential.
· Be able to identify new opportunities that are beneficial to the Practice & work to develop these effectively
· Be conscientious, self-motivated, flexible, organised and have the ability to work under pressure
· Have a good knowledge and experience of financial management
· Have excellent IT skills.
· Have excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) and be able to work collaboratively within our Cluster group and Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board to provide services for our local population
