This is an exciting opportunity to join us at Brailsford and Hulland Ward Medical Practice T/A South Dales Healthcare Partnership. The practice was placed in special measures by CQC in July 2021 (rated inadequate), reflecting a difficult time there but this created an opportunity for the three neighbouring practices in South Dales – Ashbourne Medical Practice, Hannage Brook Medical Centre and Henmore Health to work together to start to turn the practice around and restore its ability to provide high quality care to the local community. South Dales Healthcare were awarded the contract in July 2021 and with support from the CQC and CCG have been working hard on improvements. At re-inspection in November 2021 the practice was lifted from special measures and rated as requires improvement and there is continuous and ongoing improvement work in place.
We have recently made some very positive appointments and will shortly be welcoming a new practice manager and clinical lead to the practice, both of whom bring great experience and knowledge. We have a newly established and full complement of practice nursing staff, and we are currently developing additional workforce through the PCN to soon include a full-time clinical pharmacist, pharmacy technician support and first contact physiotherapy as well as engaging with Team Up Derbyshire who provide a collaborative home visiting service.
We are seeking to recruit salaried GPs to join our newly forming team which looks to embrace the challenges facing primary care and the NHS. We would be delighted to hear from highly motivated GPs who can offer high quality clinical care, a team approach and to work with us in our quest to see this practice achieving highly again.
Brailsford and Hulland Ward Medical Centre is a busy practice situated in South Derbyshire on the edge of the Peak District. The practice team consists of a Clinical Lead supported by 4 salaried GPs, two practice nurses and an HCA.
The successful applicant will work according to a BMA salaried GP contract and in accordance with existing rotas, which allow a degree of flexibility to support a good work-life balance.
Applications are welcome from experienced GPs as well as current GP registrars and newly qualified GPs. Salary will be dependent on experience.
