SALARIED GP – With Potential Partnership Opportunity
We are looking for an enthusiastic salaried GP to join our progressive and friendly GMS dispensing practice, situated in a rural North Norfolk market town close to the Norfolk Broads and beautiful coastal beaches and within easy commuting distance of Norwich.
The vacancy has arisen due to a forthcoming partner retirement and offers the opportunity for future partnership. Ideally the successful applicant will be working eight sessions per week over four days although we are happy to be flexible regarding full and part time working for the right person.
We are a training practice currently hosting three registrars and we also teach UEA medical students. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to become involved in teaching if they so desire. We have 11,700 registered patients looked after by seven partners. The wider clinical team comprises three advanced nurse practitioners, eight practice nurses and two experienced HCAs. We are active in the local Primary Care Network (PCN) and one of our partner GPs is currently the PCN Clinical Director.
We consistently achieve high QOF points, undertake a range of enhanced services and benefit from above average earnings. The practice operates from modern premises and is active in the local community. Over the last eighteen months we have developed the extremely successful “Healthier North Walsham” social media brand (https://healthiernw.co.uk/) in partnership with residents, healthcare providers, charities and other groups, with the aim of helping local people to make life changes in support of their long-term health and wellbeing.
As a salaried GP at Birchwood, you will be required to deliver the full range of primary care services for our patients, ensuring the highest standards of care. Full GMC registration and MRCGP qualification are essential. The post offers six weeks annual leave plus one week of study leave (pro-rata). Indemnity fees will be reimbursed. Salary is negotiable depending on experience but is expected to be in the region of £10,000 per session. Face to face pre-bookable routine appointments will be of 15 minutes duration.
