Richmond Clinic is a 6000 patient practice in the St Julian’s area of Newport, close to M4 j25, easy commute from Cardiff, Bristol or Monmouthshire.
Due to retirement of a senior partner, we are looking to recruit a salaried GP (or GPs) for 4- 8 sessions from July. Ideally this would lead to partnership after 6/12 months.
- Traditional, GP led (4 partners, 3.25 WTE) practice, excellent work life balance
- Good management, admin and nursing support, very low turnover of staff
- Meet daily for coffee after morning surgery, very supportive
- Suitable for newly qualified GPs, or those with more experience who may be looking for a change
- Potential for flexibility around days/hours/sessions worked for the right candidate
- Duty cover generally weekly on the same day
- Remote working for some non duty sessions may be possible
- Special interests such as minor surgery, joint injections or contraceptive services encouraged, but not essential 5th year medical student teaching
- Currently a mix of telephone and f2f appointments
- Minimal home visits
- Afternoon sessions shorter than average, allowing for longer appointments, CPD time or an earlier finish.
- Salary £9500 per session
- Ideal start date late July
- 7 weeks
We may not be offering the same rates as locum work, but we offer a small friendly team and a flexibility not available elsewhere.
