This position would particularly suit a 1st five GP looking to develop their career in a supportive environment, or a portfolio GP.

 

A bit about Park View Surgery

A 7,600 patient GMS training practice based close to Loughborough town centre, within easy access of Nottingham, Derby and Leicester and the surrounding areas.

A strong, cohesive four partner practice who strive for clinical excellence. We operate a Doctor First model with appropriate time to see patients face to face as required.

We are innovative and forward thinking and actively involved in our local GP Federation and PCN

Supported by our multidisciplinary team, which includes:

  • Three Practice Nurses, including a Minor Illness and prescribing nurse
  • Health care assistant and phlebotomist
  • GPs with varying specialist interests
  • Paramedic
  • Mental Health Facilitator
  • Practice pharmacists
  • Social Prescribers
  • MSK First Contact Physiotherapist
  • Experienced reception and administration teams who help to significantly reduce paperwork and pressure on our doctors.

Park View is an inclusive and supportive practice and is actively involved in teaching and training at all levels:

  • GP Registrars and medical students from Leicester and Nottingham Medical Schools
  • We hold regular in-house and external training sessions and monthly Clinical Education sessions
  • Organise regular social events for the whole practice team

About you

Able to commit to four sessions per week working on Wednesday and Thursday?

You will ‘muck in’ and have a proactive approach and bring new ideas about how to develop the practice.

Have a self-reflective personality – this is important as it means that you will always be learning and striving to do better.
