Physician Associate/ Advanced Nurse Practitioner/Primary Care Practitioner (Paramedic)

Westway Surgery is seeking to recruit an Advanced Nurse Practitioner, a Physician Associate or a Primary Care Practitioner (Paramedic) to join our friendly and supportive team. We are a medium size practice of around 8,000 patients with an urban population, conveniently located near the M4 and close to Cardiff City Centre.

We offer a wide range of clinical services including minor surgery, contraception, nursing home DES, Warfarin and  NOAC, insulin initiation, transgender service and substance misuse shared care.

The balanced clinical team consists of five GP partners, a Physician Associate, an Advanced Nurse Practitioner, a Pharmacist,  Practice Nurses and Health Care Assistant and an excellent team of Patient Care Administrators providing care navigation to patients and administrative duties.  We care for the residents of two local nursing homes and a long-term facility for those with learning difficulties.

We are a pro-active member of Cardiff South-West Cluster; one of the GP Partners being the Cluster Community Director. Our Cluster delivers transformational models of care including via multi disciplinary team meetings, social prescribing and a discharge care hub.

In the next three years we will move into new  Wellbeing Hub premises where we will continue to co-produce and develop service delivery collaboratively to meet the wellbeing needs of our population.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join us at this exciting time and further develop our duty team model and work alongside our Practice Nursing Team.

Informal chats and visits to the practice are encouraged.
