Full Time Permanent
£45-55,000 depending upon experience

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a person with strong leadership and interpersonal skills to become the new Practice Business Manager at The Valleys Medical Partnership. The successful individual will be responsible for overseeing the running of our two site practice, whilst identifying strategic opportunities and developing the business.
The Valleys Medical Partnership consists of two sites in North East Derbyshire, Moss Valley Medical Practice based in Eckington and Gosforth Valley Medical Practice in Dronfield. We have 7 Partners (6 GPs and 1 Pharmacist) who the Practice Business Manager will report to, and be responsible for keeping in line during our weekly Partners’ meetings. The working week will be split between the two sites, liaising with the two Assistant Practice Managers and Finance Officer which support the role.
As an organisation we are committed to providing high quality health care to our patient population. We are looking to drive this forward with innovative new ways of working and the new Practice Business Manager will be responsible for working with the partners to develop these, as well as other business opportunities that may present themselves. The ability to financial plan is essential, and a high level of IT literacy is required to monitor and share this with the Partners. Excellence in communication skills and the ability to train others and delegate responsibility is a must.
The role will be interesting and each new day will present different challenges - however the opportunity to critically assess these and present solutions should also provide the successful candidate with great job satisfaction. Experience of working in primary care is desirable but not essential – we are looking for the right individual and support from our experienced team will be available for this person.
We are a close knit group and regularly socialise outside of the work environment with socials for our staff, as well as offering lunchtime workouts several days a week. Both sites are easily commutable from major cities including Sheffield, Derby and Nottingham and hours are negotiable around other commitments.
