GP - (Up to 6 sessions) – The Wellcome Practice

GPs! Due to retirement, we are looking for someone to join our team in West Dartford. This is an exciting opportunity to join our newly merged practice at the beginning of its journey to deliver on our ambition to safely provide high quality primary health care in a clinically determined timely fashion, delivered by well trained staff who are proud to work here, committed to patient care and promoting health and wellbeing.

- multi-professional training practice offering support for newly qualified GPs and experienced GPs wanting to develop a special interest (current special interests include acupuncture, aesthetics, alcohol misuse, family planning, frailty, minor surgery, PCN clinical director, training and appraisals)

- established multi-professional team including a care coordinators, clinical admin team, frailty nurse, HCA, mental health nurse, paramedics, pharmacists, pharmacy technician, physiotherapists, phlebotomist and an experienced practice nursing team
- active engagement with the PCN, HCP and emerging ICB
Main duties of the job
You will work up to 6 clinical session as defined by the BMA contract. You may be asked to work in the PCN enhanced access clinics, which will be one evening or Saturday on a rota basis (less than once a month). Appointments are a combination of face to face and telephone, with a total of fifteen 15 minute appointments per session, and two optional slots for GP bookings only (conversion from telephone slots).
Salary is negotiable depending on experience.
Overview of your organisation
The Wellcome Practice was established by the merger of Maple Practice and Orchard Practice on 1.4.22. We are 4 partners and 3 salaried GPs, covering a population of around 11.4k. We are a multi-professional training practice and GPs are supported by a multi-disciplinary team.
We use EMIS, Docman 10, Ardens, AccuRx, ScriptSwitch. We are rated Good across the board by the CQC.
