Job summary
Are you a dynamic and enthusiastic GP with experience in the area of Safeguarding Adult and Children, and would like to develop more experience and skills in working at a strategic and system level? NHS Somerset Integrated Care Board, (Somerset ICB) is providing the exciting opportunity for a Named GP Safeguarding Adults and Children.
This is a substantive post for 4 sessions per week. The successful applicant will work closely with, be a welcome part of and be fully supported by the Somerset ICBs friendly, enthusiastic and dedicated safeguarding team.
The ideal candidate will be committed to developing expertise in the area of Safeguarding Adults and Children and have a desire to further develop their safeguarding leadership role at a strategic and system level. A key element of the role is working with GPs, Primary Care Staff and GP Safeguarding Leads on issues relating to the protection and safeguarding of children and adults at risk.
Main duties of the job
The ICB operates an agile working policy with all staff being expected to work from Wynford House for at least part of their working week. Please also note that elements of the role may require you to routinely travel to other locations across the county of Somerset, to attend in-person meetings and meet the needs of the service.
