Salaried GP with view to Partnership – Mundesley Medical Centre (a lovely seaside village)
Due to a change in personal circumstances of our existing GP we are looking for a salaried GP to join our practice on a full or part time basis.
This is an opportunity for someone who wants to develop their role in the daily clinical management of our varied clinical team including medical students (Cambridge) as well as provide a caring and professional service to our predominantly older population. You will be a valued and integral part of team helping shape the future of the team, practice and care provided. This role may lead to a Partnership.
You will be dealing with a wide range of presenting health care needs in a primary care setting (face to face, telephone, via online messages and video consultations) and supporting clinical colleagues in ensuring the highest standards of care for all patients as well as teaching Cambridge Medical School students on their GP placement for part of the year.
You will also contribute to planning and decision making as part of the practice team including MDT meetings (all virtual).
You will be involved in all aspects of care but supported by a large and skilled clinical and admin team. This means that "extras" on an appointment list are an exception and not the normal. Home visits are primarily dealt with by our team of Physician Associates. Our GPs get to provide care to the smaller cohort of patients who require the clinical skills of a GP during 15 minute face to face or phone appointments.
Why should you join our team in Mundesley?
We have some very experienced Nurse Practitioners who take a lot of work from the GPs. Our clinical team includes the following professionals all employed and managed by the practice: senior nurse practitioners, health and wellbeing coach, pharmacy technician & physicians associates.
We have a culture of teamwork with all departments supporting each other. Lots of the administration functions are carried out by our reception, admin or dispensary team so GPs can delegate and concentrate on what you were trained to do.
We prioritise the work/life balance for all our staff. During the pandemic we embraced technology and home working. We see the benefit of this as we move into the future.
We have a high percentage of older population whom whilst complex, are appreciative of good care.
We encourage staff development and train a lot of our own staff from apprenticeships through to prescribing/clinical courses.
We like to provide care following the principles of our mission statement:
Modern - ensure we use up to date practises and are forward thinking
Unique - do it our way that is right for our patients, staff and practice
Never give up do not let challenges defeat us
Develop - the business with new ideas and collaboration with other organisations and staff through learning and opportunities
Environment - clean and pleasant whilst considering our part in the wider world (reduce, recycle, reuse)
Sustainable - making the business profitable and planning for the future
Learning - all mistakes are a learning opportunity
Empathy - treat patients and colleagues with kindness and consideration
You - care is about the individual, employee or colleague.
Mundesley Medical Centre is located in a lovely seaside village and we asked the team why this is a good place to work:
"friendly"
"team work"
"one big family"
"the day goes fast in a nice way"
"rewarding"
"good opportunities and access to courses"
"no drama"
"ice cream in my lunch break"
"best practice in Norfolk"
