St James Medical Centre, Taunton
General Practitioner Partner.
We are looking to boost our Clinical Partner Team, working across our main site in the heart of Taunton and our Branch site in Norton Fitzwarren, to care for approaching 18000 patients. We have opportunity for a GP Partner, either full time (8 sessions)or part-time.
Our main surgery is in the centre of Taunton with the staff room overlooking the County Cricket Ground (home to England’s woman’s cricket) within walking distance of shops and coffee shops. The Branch Practice is a couple of miles from the town centre to the north west of Taunton and covers some more rural areas.
We currently have 7 GP Partners, 3 Salaried GP’s, 2 Paramedics and an Advanced Nurse Practitioner. Three of our Partners are GP Trainers and we are rated excellent as a training practice with F2 up to ST3 trainees. One of our Partners is also a dermatology GPSI.
We have opportunities for GP’s doing joint injections, minor surgery and contraception as well as teaching. Any additional skills are welcome but not essential.
We are list-based and feel this provides the best care for our patients but appreciate with a growing practice list size this is increasingly difficult. We are looking for an enthusiastic GP who is a good team player and is as passionate about protecting general practice for the future as we are.
