Salaried GP required – Pontcae Medical Practice 

We are looking to further enhance our clinical team with an additional salaried GP. This is an exciting opportunity to join a Progressive, enthusiastic, advanced training practice, committed to teamwork, on edge of Brecon Beacons National Park in modern premises.

Our current list size is approx.12,500 and while busy we have a fantastic team of clinicians and administrative staff. Our longest serving staff member has just completed 35 years , so we must be doing something right.

We have 5 Partners, 4 Salaried GPs, 3 Registrars, 1 F2, 3 practice Nurses, an ANP, GP Support officer, Physiotherapist and a Physicians Associate.

This would be an excellent opportunity to develop your career, we are a forward thinking practice with links to LMC, GPC Wales & we take a lead management and planning role with the local cluster of practices. One such cluster initiative the GP Support officer, is a tool intended to change the behavior and culture of patients who frequently visit the GP’s who do not need any medical Intervention.

We undertake a range of enhanced services including Advanced Minor Surgery, 24hr ECG Monitoring and Vasectomies. We were the first practice in Wales to embrace e-consult, an online triage tool that enables the GPs to conduct consultations more efficiently, helping to relieve pressure on GPs by allowing patients alternative treatment options.

We are a paper light practice using the Vision system with Docman and have excellent administrative, Nursing and MDT support.

Hours and sessional commitment flexible by mutual agreement. Salary negotiable depending on experience.

We are only 25 minutes travel time from Cardiff/Swansea
