PHARMACIST

 

Sarum Cathedral PCN is looking to recruit a committed, caring and highly motivated Pharmacist to join our friendly and well-established Primary Care Network in the historic city of Salisbury.

As a Pharmacist, you will act autonomously within your professional boundaries to provide support to the GPs and the repeat prescribing team in all medicines management matters and in implementing effective medicine management within the Practice and identifying areas for improvement.  The Pharmacist will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team along with fellow Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technician and will be in a patient facing role to clinically assess and treat patients using expert knowledge of medicines for specific disease areas.

We are looking for someone who is a qualified and competent Pharmacist and desirably has previous experience working within a General Practice environment. Applicants must have excellent organisational and communications skills as well as a high level of competency using computers.  The successful candidate will have the ability to liaise with staff at all levels and work effectively as part of a team.  A strong commitment to personal and professional development and teamwork are essential for this role.  The applicant must be a qualified, registered independent non-medical prescriber (or working towards/intent of gaining independent prescribing qualification)

This is a permanent position and we are open to full time or part time (minimum of 18.75hrs per week) applicants, desired hours can be discussed at interview.  We offer 6 weeks annual leave (pro rata), a competitive salary and the chance to join or continue on in the NHS Pension Scheme.  Applicants will have to undergo an enhanced DBS check, must be registered with the GPhC and must be eligible to work in the UK.
