PRACTICE MANAGER

TAUNTON ROAD MEDICAL CENTRE

BRIDGWATER

FULL-TIME

Salary range £ 50,000-£55,000

Taunton Road Medical Centre puts its staff and patients at the heart of everything it does. We are now seeking an exceptional individual who is highly motivated to support the partners in providing leadership and management to enable the practice to meet its aims and objectives within a supportive, safe and effective working environment.

We are a large and well-established practice with 8 GP Partners serving a list size of 15,600 patients. We are well supported by a team of salaried GPs, nurse practitioners, practice nurses, HCAs, pharmacists and reception/admin staff.

The successful applicant will work with the GP partners to develop the strategic direction of the practice and implement innovative changes. The main focus of the role will be on leadership, business, finance, IT and practice development including income generation. They will demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a genuine compassion for staff and support for their development.

The successful applicant will be innovative and adopt a strategic approach to the development and management of services, ensuring service delivery and development is in accordance with local and national guidelines and that the practice complies with contractual obligations. They will keep abreast of NHS developments that will impact on general practice, seeking opportunities and ensuring new guidance is communicated and implemented.

We are looking for someone who has expertise in management and leadership, a sound understanding of finances and budgeting, business planning and negotiating skills and the ability to implement and manage change. Most importantly we want someone who will nurture and support our amazing primary healthcare team who work so hard to support us in the successful running of the practice.

The successful applicant will be well supported in their role by a Deputy Manager and HR Manager.

Salary will be dependent on the experience and skills of the successful applicant. NHS pension scheme is available and 5 weeks of annual leave. This is a fulltime post however flexible working will be considered for the right candidate. We are keen to support training and personal development.
