Health Care Assistant
16.00 hours per week
Working days: Monday, Thursday
& Saturday (1 in 3 on a rota basis)
We are a two-site partnership with a practice population of circa 25,000 patients. We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Health Care Assistant to join our forward thinking and friendly nursing team.
Reporting in the first instance to the Nursing Team Staff Lead, the successful candidate for this role will be proficient in basic dressing skills, NHS Health Checks and Phlebotomy. NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social care is preferable or a Care Certificate, however, In-house training may be offered for the right candidate.
You should have excellent administrative and communication skills and the ability to work on your own initiative and as part of a team. Good knowledge of Microsoft packages is advantageous as is previous Rota Management and Stock Control/Inventory knowledge.
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosures to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
