Practice Nurse with Diabetic Interest
Part / Full Time – 30-37.5hrs per week
(Hours can be flexible for the suitable candidate)
Salary £35,392 - £42,618 pro rata
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Nurse to join our welcoming and supportive Practice Nurse team.
Job summary
To undertake a mixture of general nursing clinics and chronic disease management - diabetes.
Ideally with a qualification in Diabetes management and comfortable with initiating and/or adjusting insulin doses.
To provide specialist care to chronic disease patients within the Practice, working autonomously with these groups of patients, following Practice approved protocols.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will work collaboratively with a designated General Practitioner in delivering a high standard of nursing care to patients.
Continuously developing their own skills and knowledge and where appropriate provide information for others, to help their development.
To contribute to effective working in a changing environment as services change and develop.

The main surgery is situated at 11 Wilson Street, Derby and we have two branch surgeries: Taddington Road Surgery, Chaddesden, Derby and St Thomas Road Surgery, 207 St Thomas Road, Derby.
