Care Navigator – Wye Surgery

Wye Surgery is recruiting full and part time Care Navigators.
The successful applicants will be working as part of our friendly, caring and supportive team in a beautiful village setting. There are excellent transport links from Ashford and Canterbury and the train station is a few minutes’ walk from the practice. Free staff parking is available onsite.
We are looking for people with:
Excellent customer services skills
Previous clerical experience
Experience of Microsoft Office and databases
Excellent standards of literacy
Excellent communication skills
The ability to work as part of a team and autonomously when required
The ability to work well under pressure
Flexibility to cover sickness and holidays
An understanding of the importance of confidentiality
General Practice experience is desirable (document workflow, insurances and SARS) but not essential as full training will be given.
You must have the flexibility to cover additional hours when required, including until 8pm on Tuesday's and Thursday's.
We will be looking to start people in post as soon as possible.
Main duties of the job
The role will include:
Ensuring our patients have a positive experience at the surgery.
Booking appointments over the telephone and face to face.
Dealing with enquiries.
Completing new patient registrations
Processing patient documentation including Docman Workflow.
Dealing with surgery administration including insurances and SARS.
Each Care Navigator will have specific administrative tasks that they have been allocated, these will be reviewed on a regular basis with the Office Manager and should be carried out as per the relevant protocols and procedures in place.
