Oxted Health Centre vacancy - part time trained Practice nurse (20-25 hours pw)
Oxted Health Centre is a training practice with a patient list size approx 17,000 patients, rated Good by CQC.
There is a large clinical team consisting of GP Partners, Salaried GPs, Pharmacists, Urgent Care and Advanced Paramedic Practitioner alongside a nursing team consisting of practice nurses, HCAs and phlebotomist.
Applicants would be fully trained in Practice Nursing - smear taking, all child and adult immunisations, INR management, wound care, dressings etc alongside accreditation in chronic disease management and in particular respiratory care.
Job Responsibilities:
Delivering a high standard of patient care
Promoting healthy lifestyles to patients and encouragement to participate in national immunisation and screening programmes
Encourage patients to manage their long term health care needs and to maintain independent living where possible.
Carry out all duties in accordance with the NMC Code of professional conduct and with regard to the various local and national policies, guidelines and protocols.
The salary for this post is competitive and dependant on experience.
Person Specification
Registered General Nurse with general practice experience.
Excellent verbal and written communications skills with an ability to work under pressure within the primary care health setting.
Ability to work as a team player within the multi disciplinary practice team ensuring excellent safe care is delivered at all times.
