Job description We are a friendly, very busy Town Centre Practice. We are looking for a full or part time Practice Nurse, you would need Treatment Room experience ideally with some Primary Care experience, chronic disease would be desirable but not essential, however we are really keen to see or speak with candidates who have Diabetes experience or training . We have a have a branch site in Durrington and would need you to be able to work at both sites. We have around 14000 patients, and are looking for someone driven and motivated to join our team. We have a large friendly team both clinical and non clinical, as we are a training practice, we dedicate a large amount of time and effort into upskilling and training both our own practice staff and trainees, due to this we would also welcome and support anyone interested in expanding education or clinical research within the surgery. We are an innovative team that are dedicated to offering an excellent service to our patients and local community. We always do our best and go above and beyond for our patients. Duties to include some of the below; Assist in and perform routine tasks related to patient care as directed by senior nursing staff and GPs Cytology Chronic disease as agreed Wound care / ulcer care/Doppler Removal of Sutures New Patient Medicals/Urinalysis Travel Clinic ECGs Asthma/Peak/Flow Readings/Spirometry Venipuncture Hypertension Management Ear syringing Routine immunizations/Childhood immunisations Chaperoning and assisting patients where appropriate who are being examined by another clinician Requesting pathology tests, for example urine culture, swabs Following agreed clinical protocols with referral to senior nurses or GPs as appropriate Other tasks may include Maintaining and cleaning equipment used by the nurses and GPs Maintaining GP and Nurses rooms, stocking and rotating items as required Maintain general tidiness and cleanliness of nurses and treatment rooms Maintain stock of waiting room leaflets as instructed by partners and practice manager Ordering of stock from the District Hospital Ordering of vaccinations to maintain stock levels Benefits: On-site parking Work Location: In person Application method - Email CV required
