Due to recent expansion and developing of novel ways of working to promote work-life balance we have the opportunity for a GP to join our proactive and enthusiastic team.
We are a supportive, democratic and friendly team. We have a team of duty doctors on a daily basis (we never leave anyone feeling dumped on or abandoned). We have daily team coffee breaks. The practice is supportive of exploring opportunities to diversify work interests with protected time. Areas currently are teaching, research, mentoring, training and complex care home and mental health visits, special allocation clinic, joint injections, minor operations and gynaecology procedure clinics.
We are looking for a GP to join the team for six sessions per week. We would consider a flexible role for the right candidate. If you feel you have the lifestyle requirements of non-traditional GP working sessions then we could be the practice for you.
Taunton Road Medical Centre is in Bridgwater, Somerset, a rapidly expanding town at the foot of the Quantock hills and within commuting distance of Bristol or Exeter.

- Teaching of GP Registrars, Foundation Doctors, Medical Students and Student Nurses
- Two GPs with teaching awards
- Supportive practice and encourages the development of specialist interests, inside and outside of the practice
- 1 GP who is a GP Appraiser
- 2 GPs who provide a Complex Care role for the federation visiting local nursing homes
- 3 GPs who provide cover to a local mental health unit
- 4 GPs who are GP trainers
- Extensive range of enhanced services offered to patients
- We have an active role in the local Federation, and GP Provider Organisation
