An exciting opportunity has arisen for a part time salaried doctor at The Market Surgery, Aylsham.
The Market Surgery is located in the pretty market town of Aylsham in North Norfolk. We have a current list size of about 9,500 and growing.
We are a friendly, forward thinking practice and our GPs are happy to support and develop your role. We train GP registrars and medical students from UEA and Cambridge University. In 2017, we won the RCGP’s East Anglia Practice Team Award.
It is a time of change for general practice and our surgery is looking at new ways of working to meet the needs of our practice population. You will be part of the multi-disciplinary team dealing with ‘on the day’ and pre booked appointments at the surgery as well as home visits for our housebound population.
You will be dealing with acute minor illness and injury on a face-to-face or telephone basis within our emergency clinics, chronic disease management and home visits.
You will also have the ability to communicate, liaise and interact effectively with multi professional teams across organisational boundaries, including the ambulance service, mental health teams, social services and secondary care providers.
Strong organisation and time management skills are essential, as is the ability to prioritise your workload. You will also have experience using various clinical IT systems, in addition to basic IT literacy. We use the clinical system, SystmOne.
You will be extremely self-motivated, committed to ensuring a quality service, flexible, adaptable with the ability to drive change. You will have valuable experience of working in a clinical setting, and the community home environment seeing a diverse range of acute and long term clinical conditions that require rigorous assessment, examination, diagnosis and treatment.

We are offering a competitive salary of £11,250 per session. Medical indemnity fees will not be included in the employment package. A full driving license is essential for this position.
