We are looking for a salaried GP or an associate partner to join our welcoming, hard working and forward thinking team.
We are a large 26,000 patient practice with 19 GP's, 3 ANPs, 2 clinical pharmacist, a paramedic, a large supportive nursing and administration team. We have 2 sites - our main site is in Paignton in a purpose designed practice with excellent modern facilities and a smaller branch site in the harbour area of Torquay.
The basics:
Salary : £10-10,700 per session
IT: we use Emis Web in conjunctions with the rest of the practices in Torbay
Indemnity: the extra cost on top of crown fully paid by practice
System: we run a hybrid system involving an acute on the day triage team and a planned prebooked team everyday. A typical planned day includes a mixture of calls and face to face appointments (with importantly NO squeezed in extras)
Flexibility: we have flexible contracts to fit around childcare and can be flexible with the number of sessions worked
Services: For those worried about moving from a different area we have a pack for new GPs which includes the basics of how to refer to the medics / physio etc
We work hard to have a good team working environment. This means we meet for coffee everyday, and are very supportive to new members of our team and recently finished trainees and enjoy our practice funded socials!!
We work well within the local community giving lots of opportunities for portfolio working including taking part within the Integrated care team, care home visiting team and possibly newer roles on the horizon!
We have a good track record of welcoming trainees and newly qualified GP’S into the practice. We like to think we are friendly and offer support especially in those first few months of transition. We have a duty doctor who has no booked patients so is available for those tricky questions.
