Receptionist – Sully Surgery

We are a small, friendly GP practice with just over 3,600 patients in the village of Sully, just outside of Penarth.
We are looking for a part-time receptionist to join our small, enthusiastic, hardworking administrative team.
The successful candidate will ideally have experience working in a GP practice, though this is not essential. Previous experience dealing with members of the public will also be advantageous. We need someone who is IT literate and well organised, with good communication skills and a confident telephone manner.
The role includes dealing face to face with patients at the Reception desk and over the telephone, general office based tasks and supporting other members of the clinical and non-clinical team.
This permanent post is for 25 hours a week worked as 5 hour shifts, from 8.30am to 1.30pm or 1.30pm to 6.30pm Monday to Friday. Extra hours for holiday cover are also required, by mutual agreement.
Holidays start at 20 days + 8 public holidays per annum, increasing to 25 days + public holidays after 3 years’ service.
Salary starts at £8.75 per hour (paid monthly) and the post is eligible for the NHS Pension Scheme.
