St James & Orchard Medical Centre are looking for a dynamic and experienced Practice Manager to join our busy GP surgery.
As our Practice Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the surgery, ensuring smooth running and excellent patient care. You will lead a team of administrative staff over two sites in Taunton and work closely with our clinical team to ensure efficient and effective patient service delivery.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing a primary care practice or similar healthcare environment and will possess excellent communication and leadership skills. You will also have experience in financial management, human resources, quality improvement processes and be well versed in using modern IT solutions.
Key responsibilities include:
Managing the day-to-day operations of the surgery
Leading and managing the administrative team
Developing and implementing policies and procedures
Overseeing the financial management of the practice
Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards
Supporting the clinical team to deliver high-quality patient care.
Leading on quality improvement initiatives
Developing and maintaining positive relationships with patients and stakeholders
