One of the questions we get asked a lot is "what counts as CPD"? Does it have to be a course attended or an online learning module and who judges this. The answer is any of these can be counted as CPD but it is the learning and the reflection that is the key.
We all learn every day and some of the most useful learning might even be a very quick informal chat between colleagues. Capturing this learning is key which is why we try and make this as simple as just emailing firstname.lastname@example.org. Conversely you may not get much learning from attending the most critically acclaimed course if you know it all already.
Though we must assure what we are being told is from a reputable source what I am trying to say is that our learning and reflection (what we learnt and what you will do differently from now on) is the important thing not where or how you learnt it.
