Job Summary

We are recruiting to a new position of Advanced Clinical Practitioner (Nurse). This role is targeted at an experienced practitioner who holds an appropriate, specific, advanced professional qualification which meets either NMC requirements for high level practice or the Multi Professional Framework For Advanced Clinical Practice in England.

You will work with the practice team to provide high quality care which meets the needs of the practice’s patient population. Working within defined professional boundaries, you will be able to make safe clinical decisions relating to assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and review. You will also demonstrate critical thinking ability.

The successful candidate will function as an integral part of the clinical team in the practice, providing advice and guidance to the nursing team to ensure they deliver care based on the needs of the practice’s population.

Armley Medical Practice are a large forward-thinking training practice based in Armley, Leeds 12, with over 16,000 registered patients. We are passionate about delivering excellent patient care, reducing inequalities and providing the best possible service for our diverse population.

We have a great ethos throughout our close-knit practice with family values, dedicated staff, and above all care and support for our patients and each other.

We work as a team, we like to have fun including varied and inclusive staff events, and have WhatsApp groups to share things that make us smile as well as to gain advice and support.

Our team comprises 6 GP Partners, 7 Salaried GPs, 2 Advanced Nurse Practitioners, 5 Practice Nurses and 3 Health Care Assistants as well as a large administration, reception and management team.

We also collaborate with two other local practices as a Primary Care Network of 30,000 patients, to integrate care and to work better together to meet the needs of our population. Our key priorities as a PCN are prevention, mental health and physical/mental frailty.

Whilst clinical skills are essential, soft skills are equally as important to us.
