Prescription Clerk – Newton Place Surgery

Newton Place Surgery is looking for a prescription clerk to join our friendly team.
We are a forward thinking practice, committed to delivering high quality care to our 19,400 registered patients. We are looking for someone who is able to provide support around our medicines management, regulatory compliance and the help reduce some of the administrative burden from our clinical team.
The aim of the prescription team is to maximise safe, cost effective best practice in prescribing to improve the quality of patient care. The post holders will help patients request and receive their prescriptions in a safe and timely manner. You will be the main point of contact for patient enquiries about their prescriptions, so a caring customer service communication style is essential.
To thrive in this role you will enjoy utilising your exceptional organisational and prioritising skills, combined with excellent attention to detail. Problem-solving on a day to day basis around issues relating to your work, you will need to have the ability to follow protocols that have been developed by the GP partnership, and you will be a strong team player who enjoys working closely as a team to achieve the overall organisational objectives.
Previous experience of medication/ general practice would be an advantage. This role would also be an opportunity for someone who has worked in a pharmacy dispensing role and would like to develop a career within primary care.
