The Surgery @ Aylestone (672 Aylestone Road, Aylestone, Leicester, LE2 8PR) are currently expanding the team and looking to support the right candidate to join our friendly and dynamic team:
What we are looking for:
- 28 hours per week – hours are negotiable
- Salary / Pay all negotiable and very competitive based on experience and contract type.

- 2 x GP partners
- 1 x GP Retainer
- 1 x Pharmacist
- 1 x HCA
- 1 x Nurses
- Mental Health Facilitator
- Social Prescriber
- Healthcare Navigators
The role will afford the successful applicant an exciting opportunity to work as a permanent integral member of our established multidisciplinary clinical team, working 28 hours per week.
We are seeking a professional, enthusiastic, and experienced qualified PN with a Primary Care background. Demonstrating courageous and critical thinking skills in the clinical decision-making process for patients within General Practice. You will provide care for the presenting patient from initial history taking, clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and evaluation of care.
The primary objective of this role is to work with the General Practitioners and other clinical teams to effectively manage the Practice’s same day appointments and to see patients in your own clinics. Applicants must be registered with a current UK body i.e., NMC and meet the standards as published by the RCN:
The ideal candidate would have the following experience:
- Active registration with the NMC and meet NMC revalidation requirements.
- Childhood vaccinations (essential)
- Chronic Disease Management skills (Asthma, COPD)
- Health promotion and screening (to include cervical smears and family planning)
- Long Term Conditions ( Diabetes)
- Travel vaccinations and advice
- Other general practice nurse duties

- We care for and have a list size of 4000+ patients
- Appointments are mostly telephone with face to face as required and essentially no home visits (unless you wish to/if appropriate).
- We perform highly in QOF, we use SystmOne, Ardens and Accurx.
- We work closely with our PCN, the LMC and the newly formed ICS.
- We provide specialist diabetes, minor ops, steroid injections and a host of other services.
We are hoping the right candidate will become integral to our team and be part of the leadership team - driving improvements to make a better and effective service for the patients we care for.
