This is an exciting post for an experienced manager looking to work within a large GP practice.
The position would be ideal for anyone who is either a Deputy Practice Manager currently, a Manager in a smaller practice, or a recently retired Practice Manager looking to keep their hand in. It could also suit anyone looking to move from another area of the NHS into General Practice and gain experience.
Previous experience in the NHS and knowledge of local CCG plans and ways of working would be a great advantage due to the fixed term nature of the post. However, an experienced manager from other areas would also be considered.
The Humbleyard Practice is a well established practice with a stable team of staff. We perform highly in QOF and carry out most enhanced services. We are active within the locality and the local GPPO of South Norfolk Healthcare.
The current Practice Business Manager has been in post with us for four years and is taking maternity leave for 10 months. The practice requires an experienced manager to take over the reins for the period of her maternity leave and to support the partners and staff in keeping the level of service at the high standard for which the practice prides itself.
One of the key areas which will need the manager's support across the next year is liaising with the new GP Provider Organisation and Locality about new services and new contracts which will take effect from October 2019. Also to support the Surgery Managers in managing their teams and the Finance Manager in maintaining financial stability.
The role could be either done as a full-time role or around 30hrs. Or someone who has previously been a Practice Manager could do the role as a more advisory role on two days a week. The hours would be flexible within the practice core hours of 8:30-6:30 Monday to Friday and would be worked around the required meetings.
Humbleyard Practice is a three surgery practice covering Cringleford, Hethersett and Mulbarton, with a registered list of 19,800. We are a practice with 15 GP's, and a practice nursing team made up of 10 nurses and 6 HCA’s. There is an admin support team of 39 staff in varying roles including finance, surgery manger, receptionist, coders, secretaries, dispensers and administrators.
